In 2007 we went to London. We loved it! We've been talking lately about what a great time we had across the pond and how we'd like to go over again. We traveled in February so it was definitely off-season for tourists, resulting in a great flight price with American Airlines. We flew direct from JFK to Heathrow. Jet lag was a definite problem for me but didn't seem to bother Sean. I think I spent the first 2 days sleepwalking around the city. I booked our hotel on
http://www.londontown.com/ and got an awesome deal there as well. We spent 5 nights at a hotel overlooking Kensington Gardens. We had a short walk to various underground stations and plenty of restaurants/entertainment in that location. We loved poking around and exploring all the new things we could. St Pauls was a favorite spot for both of us. I don't think either of us will ever forget standing in the massive cathedral and listening to a boys choir rehearse. They truly sounded like angels. I enjoyed tea and pop tarts for breakfast everyday (remember, we were on a tight budget). We strolled our hearts out every day. We typically skipped lunch and ducked into a restaurant somewhere for dinner. There was no real itinerary, we just played it by ear and had a great time. Sean is a great navigator, he got us where we needed to be during the whole trip....I probably would have spent my week walking in circles if it wasn't for him. Here are some great memories from our adventure.

Someday we'll return to London (and include a trip on the Eurostar for a few nights in Paris) but until then, I always have Flashback Fridays :) Have an awesome weekend!
Let us know when you plan your next trip, and we'll tag along. We've never been there, and we have to take Baby Ben to visit Big Ben! :)
