Whoda Thunk 1/31/11

That I would have 2 men in my house who enjoy steak and onion rings (with a side of green beans of course)?  That's all.

Soothing Lyrics 1/30/11

I'd just like to thank Jack and Norah for singing my son to sleep every night!  Love ya both!

Yep, it's still snowy in Harrisburg 1/30/11

But we took our little Sunday walk anyway.  We rode over to Wildwood Park ( http://www.wildwoodlake.org/ ) for a bit....explored the nature center and took a stroll around the boardwalk.  I let Sean take over the camera today so he can get used to snapping photos too.  I think he took some pretty good shots...what do you think?

Lunch!
We really like spending time at this park and we'll be happy when we can see green again!

To Market To Market 1/29/11

After living in Harrisburg for over 3 years, we finally decided to check out the Broad Street Market ( http://www.broadstreetmarket.org/ ).
We are glad this little city still has a market like this where local vendors can sell.  We were pleasantly surprised at all the choices within the halls from baked goods to fried chicken and produce.  This is definitely a place to stop by again!

Flashback Friday 1/28/11

In 2007 we went to London.  We loved it!  We've been talking lately about what a great time we had across the pond and how we'd like to go over again.  We traveled in February so it was definitely off-season for tourists, resulting in a great flight price with American Airlines.  We flew direct from JFK to Heathrow.  Jet lag was a definite problem for me but didn't seem to bother Sean.  I think I spent the first 2 days sleepwalking around the city.  I booked our hotel on http://www.londontown.com/  and got an awesome deal there as well.  We spent 5 nights at a hotel overlooking Kensington Gardens.  We had a short walk to various underground stations and plenty of restaurants/entertainment in that location.  We loved poking around and exploring all the new things we could.  St Pauls was a favorite spot for both of us.  I don't think either of us will ever forget standing in the massive cathedral and listening to a boys choir rehearse.  They truly sounded like angels.  I enjoyed tea and pop tarts for breakfast everyday (remember, we were on a tight budget).  We strolled our hearts out every day.  We typically skipped lunch and ducked into a restaurant somewhere for dinner.  There was no real itinerary, we just played it by ear and had a great time.  Sean is a great navigator, he got us where we needed to be during the whole trip....I probably would have spent my week walking in circles if it wasn't for him.  Here are some great memories from our adventure.

Love it!

Freshly fallen snow reminds me of frosted mini wheats... 1/26/11

Well, it does...I guess I like cereal a little too much!  I had a scarier than scary drive into work today since it was snowing pretty hard at 6 30 this morning, but I faced my fear and actually made it...turning around and going home crossed my mind more than a few times.  The snow eased up and the afternoon was quiet.  I came home to a napping house and decided to go outside and snap a few shots while the guys snored away.

Frosting....yum!

Our happy home :)

Can't see the Christmas lights can you?  They'll be gone before Easter.....hopefully!

I won't tell you about the part where I locked myself outside and had to call Sean from the neighbor's house to unlock the door...whoops!  Once Scott woke up from his nap (still in his PJs...Daddy days are awesome) I was glad to have some play time with him before dinner.  He's always in such a good mood after his naps!  He is growing up so fast that sometimes it scares me.  I always hope we are being the best parents we can be....he's a smart, cheerful little guy so I think we're doing ok.  Of course I took some photos...

Man, he's cute!

Say cheese Mama!

PEACE...Gymbo style!
